Which goods are subject to WIORiN inspection?

Additional requirements relate in particular to:

  • goods packaged in wood (pallets, crates, grids),
  • fresh fruit and vegetables.

In such cases, a key role is played by
Provincial Inspectorate for Plant Protection and Seed Production (WIORiN).

Why is it so important to report to WIORiN?

WIORiN is responsible for the phytosanitary control of goods that may pose a risk to plants within the European Union.
It is the institution that decides, whether the cargo can be released for free circulation in the EU customs territory.

🔍 For the customer, this means one thing:
if the notification to WIORiN is not carried out correctly and on time,
customs clearance will simply not begin.
