Repair procedures

Repair procedures - rapid action in our customs warehouse

Corrective procedures are activities carried out to correct errors, discrepancies or problems that have arisen during customs clearance or the transport of goods. Their purpose is to quickly bring the cargo or documentation into compliance with customs requirements in order to avoid delays, penalties or additional costs.

When are recovery procedures needed?

Corrective procedures may be necessary in situations where the UCS states that it does not release goods due to certain deficiencies that can be remedied at the Customs Warehouse :

Incorrect or missing labelling of goods

Incorrect or missing declaration of conformity (CE)

No instructions for use in Polish

How do we help our clients?

Repair procedure: building materials

Issue: A client imported building materials that did not meet the technical requirements in the EU market. Instead of sending the goods back, he sought a solution to make them compliant and marketable.

Our activities:

  • We analysed the options for the repair procedure and obtained approval from customs.
  • The goods were placed in our temporary storage warehouse and underwent the required modifications.
  • At the end of the process, we carried out customs clearance, allowing the goods to circulate freely on the EU market.

Effect: The client avoided high reimbursement costs and project delays, and the building materials were successfully adapted to European standards.

Repair procedure: lithium-ion batteries

Issue: The customer imported lithium-ion batteries, but part of the consignment had damaged packaging, making further distribution impossible. Due to the strict regulations for the transport of dangerous goods (ADR), an appropriate procedure had to be followed.

Our activities:

  • We identified the possibility of a corrective procedure and obtained approval from customs.
  • The goods were placed in our temporary storage warehouse, where we carried out a packaging exchange in accordance with the standards for the transport of dangerous goods.
  • At the end of the process, the goods passed customs clearance and were released for further distribution.

Effect: The customer avoided return costs and losses resulting from the disposal of the goods. By following the repair procedure, the batteries were able to safely reach the market in accordance with current legislation.
